Change of Plans

Our homeschool group has a field trip to the pumpkin farm on the 22d. We decided not to join them because they go through a big “Texas Maze”. We went last year and didn’t enjoy it. I decided we’d go on our own and planned to go on Friday. I was talking to Chief about it and he suggest we go today instead so that he could come along. It was a lot of fun. It was a bit warm, but not at all hot. Thankfully it was not muddy like last year! The QueenofHearts was working today, but I don’t think she really wanted to come along anyway.

The kids did go through a maze, but it was the kiddie maze, so it was just right. We also painted pumpkins, fed goats, just wandered around a bit, and (of course) we took lots of photos! 🙂 I wish I’d gone over to see the wildflower fields, but TheBoy kind of got tired of being there so we packed up, passed out sandwiches and headed home. It was a nice short trip and very enjoyable!

Love “field trips” that turn into family fun filled days! One of the many things I LOVE about home school!

  3. How fun! The slideshow was great. Thanks for sharing. We are going to a pumpkin farm with my five-year olds Daisy troop tomorrow. It should be fun too.
