A lovely little gem

I visited this blog for the first time today (it was featured on wordpress’ front page and the title of the post sure got my attention!) and I found this article to be more than interesting.  I know nothing about the rest of the blog, but I think this was worth a read:

I’m so glad you visited my blog. I’ve had a tremendous response on this post, so much so that I just published more on the topic. I’m a Catholic mother of two from Indianapolis. I’d love your comments: http://wp.me/pgTZD-v3

I saw that, too. I read it, and while it was right in a lot of ways it made me sad. I know so many people who have given up on their marriage, using such excuses as “we were wrong for each other” or “I don’t love him anymore”.
I have been married for 11 (gee, almost 12, now) years, and we are still silly in love. Maybe I just married “the right one”. Or maybe we just spend our lives serving each other and seeking to be each others “right one”.
It seems like it should be that simple, you know.
(I am not disagreeing, just elaborating, and mourning the loss of so many marriages.)

    • I agree with you. It is so sad. I also see people who don’t believe in divorce, so stay married, but are miserable because they won’t choose to REALLY love and be mr or mrs right. Very sad.

Thanks for sharing. What a wonderful article. So many people like the idea of love and marriage. They just don’t realize that great marriages come with lots of hard work. I feel blessed to be so in love with my husband, but it is work sometimes. We both have to put aside our individual ideas of what is best for “me”, and compromise doing what is best for “us”.
