Ouch!

We’ve hit 19 consecutive days of 100° or higher.  And there is more to come.

At least there’s a small chance of rain today.  Of course, we had that same chance yesterday and we didn’t see any here.  It just seems to be getting more and more humid to go along with that heat.  We are under a Heat Advisory:

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a heat advisory… which is in effect until 8 PM CDT Friday.

(A heat advisory means that afternoon heat index values are expected to meet or exceed 105 degrees while overnight low temperatures will not fall below the upper 70s.)

The heat advisory covers — part of North Texas …

Much of North Texas will again see afternoon heat index values in the 105 to 110 degree range today and Friday. Little relief from the heat will occur overnight as temperatures may only reach the lower 80s or upper 70s shortly before daybreak.

Please pray for those who have no air conditioning or who fear turning it on because of the cost.  This is such a dangerous time for these folks.  Most of those who die from the heat or have heat injuries are the elderly.

Try to enjoy your central air. Will be thinking of you.

The heat also dangerously affects those who are going through menopause! (steer clear- “they” can be really grumpy!!)
