Proud Mom Moment

This is a “Proud Mom Moment”… I know, I have more than my fair share of these!!!!  Today we learned that MilkyWhite earned the lead in the play, “The Just So Stories” (adapted from the stories by Kipling).  She is Elsie Kipling and I can’t wait to see her shine in this role!!!!

The MadHatter and TheQueenofHearts were cast as The Parsee and the Rhino, respectively.  They also have some other smaller parts.

The three girls have a scene together.  You can read the story of the rhino HERE.

Here is a description of the play from Dramatic Publishing:

Cast: 8-21 actors of either gender, flexible, plus 2 offstage adult voices (m. and f.) Five of Rudyard Kipling’s Just So Stories, including How the Camel Got His HumpHow the Rhinoceros Got His Skin and How the Elephant Got His Trunk are included here. The tales are brought vividly to life by Kipling’s young daughter, Elsie, and a group of new friends she has made during a visit with her aunt while her parents are away. Elsie receives in the mail from her father a recently published copy of his new book, a series of animal adventures. She and her friends eagerly act out the stories until they come to the final one which, to the surprise of her friends, Elsie is reluctant to enact. The ending, which holds a surprise or two, is moving and uplifting as Elsie learns something about herself and her friends as well. The lively action, intriguing stories and colorful characters will delight performers and audiences in this play for all ages. One interior set.

Comedy. Adapted by Joseph Robinette from the stories of Rudyard Kipling.

Congratulations, Milky White, MH, and QOH!! Sounds like a wonderful production!

And you should be very proud of your very talented girls! Smart, talented and pretty! I think you should probably brag more often!

We will have to go! After Beauty & the Beast, we are hooked! I am so excited for Milky White. Wasn’t B&tB her first? I thought that’s what the program said. If so….. WOW! I tell everyone that I know some of the actors in the musical we saw- it’s fun to be proud!

  3. B&B was her first Main Stage production. She’s done loads of children’s theater.

I’m just about finished reading the script. It’s going to be a GREAT show! 🙂

    Yeah, I’m a bit proud! 🙂

  4. Debbie says:

That is wonderful. I cannot talk my kids into being in plays… They like doing things outside. Trap shooting, gardening, animals.
