Another Curvy Spine Update :)

This morning Chief went to his chiropractor appointment.  This time he saw the partner in the practice that he doesn’t normally see.  For whatever reason, he brought up TheMadHatter’s scoliosis again.

Apparently, Chief’s normal provider did not know of a certain chiropractor in Austin who has had success in correcting scoliosis in kids of TheMadHatter’s age (those who are not done growing.)  Of course, I doubt he claims 100% cure or anything, but any correction will be welcome!  Until this morning, barring a miracle (which could happen!) our greatest hope was to prevent the curve from worsening.  That may be all that will happen, even with seeing him, but it is worth heading to Austin for a consult and considering what he has to offer.  I’ll be calling for an appointment on Monday – right after we go to Mass and she receives the Anointing of the Sick.

O Holy Trinity,
we thank you for having given to the Church
Pope John Paul II,
and for having made him shine with your fatherly tenderness,
the glory of the Cross of Christ and the splendour of the Spirit of love.

He, trusting completely in your infinite mercy
and in the maternal intercession of Mary,
has shown himself in the likeness of Jesus the Good Shepherd
and has pointed out to us holiness
as the path to reach eternal communion with You.

Grant us, through his intercession,
according to your will,
the grace that we implore,
in the hope that he will soon be numbered among your saints.

Amen.

That’s great news, My husband had scoliosis as a kid and his chiropractor as able to get rid of it 100%. So there is hope. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers I hope even if he can’t cure it 100% at least he can make a difference. Good Luck!!

Wow – Austin is very doable for you, huh? Is that about four hours for you? We’re not far from Austin. If you ever find yourself with hours between appointments and struggling with boredom we’d be glad to drive up and have lunch with y’all!

    • We’re much closer than that. To get to the Bee Caves area, it will take a little over an hour from our house. But we can still meet for lunch! I’d love that!!!

Of course, I do love SA, so I will come down again sometime!

    Sending prayers.

I think chiropractors can do amazing things. I truly hope this is an answer for your dd. It really would be brilliant; and I bet even if she couldn’t get 100% it will be helpful.
That and the Sacrament of the Sick. Quite a combination.
    Prayers continue.

    • I think they can, too. I was surprised when Dr J told Chief there was nothing to be done… and relieved when Sr S told him, yes, someone can help. Any improvement is welcome and we will be grateful if they just keep it from getting worse. Here’s hoping for a huge improvement or total healing. God is still in that business, I hear!🙂
