Mulan, Junior

The performance went fairly well.  Poor QueenofHearts (Mulan) didn’t quite get her voice back in time.  Her vocal range was impaired.  She was quite disappointed.

Also, the “sound guy” did not have an opportunity to get the show down (thanks, snow) so he had quite a time keeping up, but I have to say, with so little preparation, he managed alright!

A lot of friends came out to see the show.  It was really great that they all came.  My dad came into town on Thursday, performance day, so he finally got to see the girls perform!  He just loved it!

I have some short clips to share.  TheQueenofHearts’ clip is fairly short.  Since she was so disappointed, I don’t want to “overdo” things and upset her, but I have to share something!

She did really, really well. I can hear the sore throat but she is never flat. That’s pretty brave!
    God bless her.

    • Thanks, Shell. Yes, I suppose it was a bit brave… but also, there was no one else to do the part! I’ve no idea what they’d have done if she absolutely could not be there.

I found the show enjoyable anyway, though someone mentioned to me that they ran into some folks who saw the show and that they thought it was “funny”…. and they didn’t mean comedy. 😦
