Wonderful Providence

By God’s wonderful providence, Chief was able to meet up with a special friend in Baghdad.  Em’s husband, J, is also deployed right now.  Chief and I are very blessed and honored to be godparents to Em & J’s little one. (Our M&M) After a few failed attempts, they finally got together!

On Sunday, they went to Mass together and spent the day together.  Chief showed Em’s husband around the camp where Chief works and J showed Chief some aircraft.  I know Chief had a wonderful time and that it was a nice oasis in the midst of that desert they’re in.  Hopefully they’ll be able to spend some time together on Thanksgiving!  (though we’d rather they were home!)

I am so glad they had the time to visit!

  3. I am too! I know it did Chief a world of good!

  4. Wow, you mention you have no pictures and all the sudden, “poof”! Pictures everywhere! hahaha Do they really get that compliant after 24 years? And if so, can you guarantee me in 9 years I can get pics of K when I request it? hahaha He hates pics and I would give my eye teeth to get more.
It’s got to be wonderful to see a familiar face like that when you are so far away. 🙂

  5. Guarantee? Not sure I could give that. LOL 😛 Chief’s not been too bad about pictures in general. It’s mainly uniform pics we’re low on and definitely not on this computer. I guess he’s sorta in “uniform” in the 511’s he’s wearing in the above pics. hehe.

I’ll help ya gang up on K with a camera, if necessary, to spare your eye teeth!

Yeah, it IS great getting the pics!
