I finally spoke to the contractor. He is going to come by tomorrow and finish the job. His wife is seriously ill and is an inpatient in the hospital. Understandably, he does not want to leave her alone there. His mom is driving in today and will be able to remain with her, help her and be her advocate while the contractor finishes tomorrow. He was apologetic for leaving such a mess in the yard. He said he didn’t remember doing so until he heard my last message, which was very detailed.
I am very pleased that my deployed son and husband have been able to meet up for a short visit. There is something very satisfying in knowing that they each get to spend some time over there with someone who loves them.

They are both very exhausted and hot. They work hard and probably never get quite enough sleep.
