  • The Word Everyday

CatholicContent.com has a cool little widget that feeds the Mass readings into a neat little frame everyday. Unfortunately, wordpress does not allow me to put it on my page. So, instead, here is a link to the daily readings on the Bishops' site.

  • Praying for Our Godchildren

Lord, bless and protect these Godchildren you've given us. Keep them in your constant care and help them to grow in knowledge and love of you! Guide their parents as they impart to them the most important things in their lives: to know, love and serve you and to obtain, by Your grace and mercy, heaven one day! Assist us as we assist them and keep us ever mindful that we are always an example to these children just as we are to the children you've given directly to us. Help us to be good and holy examples! God, please bless: JC JC BC AC JC JC M&M NG SW HW AW

    So Glad

    by Tree63

    (partial lyrics)

I want to jump - I’m so scared

I want to swim - don’t want to get wet

How do I get to you- what do I have to do?

I want to pray - I need sleep

Don’t want to sow, I just want to reap

I know what you’re going to say: there’s something in the way

Will it ever end, this war inside me?

    I’m just so glad

That what I can’t, you can

    And where I end

    That's where you begin

    I'm just so glad...

Puppy Update

It couldn’t have gone any better! Our next door neighbor decided to take the puppy! She has already been to the vet and is in good health. She is some kind of Boxer mix. Still as cute as ever, but now she is the neighbor’s problem with none of the guilt and bad feelings that would have come with taking her to the pound!

Her name is “Lily” - as in Lily Potter, Harry Potter’s mother.

It is wonderful for my kids to have her right next door! They had started to become attached, no matter how many warnings I heaped on them. Now they can visit whenever they please (well almost whenever) and Lily can come to play with our dogs (when she’s big enough to hold her own) when they need a dog sitter. Terrific solution.

Thank you, Lord!!!!

  1. Glad you found a solution, I would’ve had a hard time saying no.
